VaporTrac Detects System Failure in Troy, MI

TROY, Mi. September 22, 2017 —  A commercial building in Troy, MI houses an Aldi Grocery store and adjacent shops experienced a vapor intrusion mitigation failure in which VaporTrac technologies detected and delivered a notification that prevented prolonged exposure to vapor intrusion.

The property nears a dry cleaner, where PCE and TCE chemicals in the contaminated soil emits harmful vapors that impacts neighboring businesses.

The VaporTrac monitor had alerted out Sunday evening showing loss of vacuum from one of the systems. In the grocery store, the broken PVC mitigation pipe had been hit by a forklift causing the loss of pressure in the system.
